An FDA food-grade trailer(dry van) is required. The design, maintenance, and storage of trailers and transportation equipment must be sufficient to prevent food from becoming unsafe while enroute to its final destination.
Trailer/container seals given by shipper must remain on trailer and be removed by customer to confirm seal number on bill of lading matches.
Carrier must be able to scale the requested weight, or could be turned away, or reduction in rate to reflect the loss in weight.
It is required to call ahead to shipper to confirm and give ETA, Or schedule appointment when necessary. If shipper was not contacted and product isn't ready, no TONU will be awarded.
